Swimming, Australia, and More

Brielle is very excited for swimming lessons this summer, so she had her own swimming party this morning.

Latest Funny Sayings:
"Come on everybody...."  She likes to get us all involved in her creative adventures.  Come on everybody, we're going on a train ride, etc.

"I can't take it anymore!"  This was a funny line she brought out in the middle of playing a game.  Then she proceeded to remove all of the pictures from the shelf in a dramatic fashion and announce that she couldn't take the pictures anymore.  Needless to say, we were cracking up.

"This is how we do it."  Brielle uses this saying for all explanations.

Brielle loves for Grant to wrap her up like a burrito.  It's her favorite after bath time routine.

Brielle was studying Australia at school this week.  She borrowed an Australian Outback Hat from our friends Jeff and Leslie who lived in Australia for a year.  Her teachers said she did a great job telling the class about how the hat is used to keep the flies away from your face.  One boy didn't hear her, so she even repeated it for that little boy.  We were proud!  Ms. Julie said Brielle has an interest in math and numbers.  She showed me some of Brielle's work.  I guess she takes after Grant a little bit.  :)  Brielle also learned about didgeridoos.  She made her own at school and pronounces didgeridoo very well!

Snow Fun

Brielle and Grant made a snowman today.  It was her first snowman experience.  Grant appeared to do the majority of the work, but Brielle added some artistic touches.  We had to get a carrot for the nose.  It was a great day to make her first snowman!

Grandma and Papa came to stay with us while Grant was in Chicago.  I ended up with a snow day.  Luckily my dad still does things like shovel my driveway, so I got to play with Brielle.  My mom taught her how to do a snow angel, and we went sledding on the street.

Brielle's giraffe also enjoyed the snow!

Make-Up Time

Brielle and I went shopping and stopped in the clearance aisle.  That's a dangerous place for me, but we did come across a little treasure.  We bought a make-up kit for $1.25!  It was the best $1.25 I have ever spent.  Just look at the photos!  It did leave a rather light pink beard for a day or two.  Nothing a little soap, water, and time can't fix.

Sesame Street Live

Brielle got Sesame Street Live tickets for Christmas.  We had a blast!  She got a snow cone to start the show.  This was her first snow cone and it consumed her attention.  After experiencing a delicious snow cone, she started participating in the show.  Elmo taught her to be healthy.  We have been using the phrase eat your colors at dinner time.  It works most of the time!  We finished the super fun morning at Gordon Biersch.  Brielle loved the chicken fingers!  It was a great end to a very fun morning!

Our new characters ate lunch with us!

Showing off her new characters!  They even sleep with her!

Yummy chicken fingers!  I like to dip in ranch like Daddy!

Look at that face!

Yummy snow cone!  First one ever!

Snow Day Fun

We have had several snow days during January, and I have found myself loving it.  I have never been an outdoorsy type of girl, but having Brielle helps me relive that childhood excitement that I forgot all about.  The excitement of snow.  The joy of laying in snow.  The true love of experiencing something for the first or second time.  That's a beautiful snow day!

Grant took a break for watch the snow fun!

All good snow days end with hot chocolate!
