Brielle came to school with me today.  She was cracking me up while she was teaching.  She was going around the table teaching her students (all her friends at school) about "paper sections".  It was hysterical!

At Jimmy John's I asked Brielle what she wanted to be when she grows up.

Elephant.

Awesome!

Grant later asked her what she would do as an elephant.

Well, I would wear my elephant costume all day.

I always say you should do what you love.  I hope by the time she is around 20, something else makes her happy.  If not, then I hope being an elephant will pay for her own apartment.  :)

Jimmy John's

I had snow day #9 today.  The best part was meeting friends for Jimmy Johns!  Henry was a little "bored" being the only boy, but he soon had the girls laughing.

Paradise Park Playdates

We went to Paradise Park two times over President's Day weekend!  It was so much fun!  The best part was hanging out with great friends.  On Saturday, we met Jeanna, Coy, and Mack.  Brielle and Coy love to play together and they get along so well.  Jeanna took care of Brielle for the first two years of her life, and we are so thankful for her.  She was amazing!  We love hanging out with you guys!

Then on Monday, we met Ashley and her niece Madilyn.  Brielle was a little shy, but did help Madilyn find her way around.  They did story hour together and made friendship bracelets.  The lady asked Brielle who her best friend was and she said "Madilyn".  We now have a M and B bracelet.  Very cute!

Valentine's Day 2011

I am not a big fan of Valentine's Day, but this year was pretty fun.  We started Valentine's Day on Saturday with Grant and I going to JJ's for dinner.  It was delicious!  Brielle got to hang out with Jennifer and go to the mall.  Brielle loved the carousel and going to the pet store.  Jennifer is so nice.  I never worry when she's with Jennifer. 

On Monday, she was excited to give her friends at Mrs. Jewell's house her cards she made them all.  Grant made her heart shaped pancakes for breakfast which made her day!  Then she had a blast opening all of her Valentine's cards from her friends.  She even tried her first Blow Pop!  A few pieces of gum were swallowed but it was a good first try!

On Thursday, she got her Valentine box from school and was thrilled with all of her cards from friends.  Hudson even gave her a coupon for 6 free martial arts classes.  We'll have to see about that! 

We made a delicious Valentine's Day cake!

First Nice Day of 2011

We finally got to go outside on a walk!  It wasn't too warm, but it felt like summer after the winter we had.  We can't wait for more warm weather!

Making Valentine's Day Cards with Daddy

Brielle and Grant made over 30 Valentine's Day cards for Brielle's friends at school and Ms. Jewel's house.  It was quite an evening.  Grant isn't artistic, so I left an example.  :)  They turned out beautiful! 



Super Bowl 2011

We hosted a Super Bowl party this year.  By that, I mean Gabe, Breck, Alli, Crump, and B-Vogt came over.  It was a fun afternoon.  Brielle was the center of attention.  Gabe bought Brielle her own MU chair!  She was so excited.  What a great surprise!  Brielle proudly put Breck in the naughty corner and made sure she didn't take her sweater home.  She also got completely naked, but we managed to get her to wear a tank top and shorts.  Brielle and Grant were rooting for the Packers, so they were pretty proud when the Packers won!

Harlem Globetrotters

We went to see the Harlem Globetrotters on Saturday.  It was so much fun!  We met our good freinds Emily and Ryan.  They brought their son Max. Max and Brielle are so cute together.  They saw each other from a distance, ran to each other, and embraced in the cutest hug.  The second half was mainly Brielle and Max playing in the seats, but it was still a good time!  Brielle's favorite part was "the penalty box and Max talking".  

 

Letter Fun

I love CheezIts!  We found these Scrabble CheezIts at the store.  Brielle was actually interested in letters.  She said, "Let's eat the letters we know!"  Yes!

Conversation of the Day

"What's a whoopin Momma?"

"What?"

"What does whoopin mean Momma?"

"Why?"

"Well Ms. Jewel says - Do you need a whoopin John?" 

Giggle...giggle...giggle.

"It's like a spanking, and you don't want one!" 

"Oh. Ok.  I'll tell Ms. Jewel." 

Sand Art

I've been waiting for this day since Brielle and I shopped in the clearance aisle.  We found a sand art kit for $0.50.  I was so excited, but every time I asked if she wanted to do it she told me no.  Finally, I got a yes!  The actual project wasn't that fantastic, but the process was super fun and well worth $0.50! 

Gingerbread Cookies

Brielle and I made gingerbread cookies this morning.  We were missing ginger, but that didn't stop us!  We didn't have icing either.  Brielle thought they were awesome.  She was also impressed they didn't run away.  I think I feel a little ill, but it was fun!



Snow Storm 2011

Tomorrow will be our 8th snow day since 2011 started.  I love the extra 8 days with Brielle.  I have also managed to clean my house several times, do laundry before it's urgent, and start a blog.  :)  The goal is to record memories for Brielle, since I don't scrapbook.

We have the most amazing neighbor ever!  Thanks for cleaning our driveway Scott!

Brielle and I made him a Nicest Neighbor Award this morning.  I do believe this is the most prestigous award he has ever recieved!  :)

First Day of School

Brielle started going to the Montessori school in January.  Thanks for the advice Aubrey!  She absolutely loves it!  I thought maybe she would cling to me and beg me to stay, but of course she said bye bye Mommy!  She has already learned so many new things and met new friends.  We can't wait to see all of the new things she will learn and accomplish!
