Happy 6th anniversary to Grant and I! We celebrated as a whole family yesterday, since the main celebration will be in St. Lucia next week. It was actually a really fun family anniversary dinner. Brielle enjoyed Garozzo's, her extra cherry shirley-temple, and clinking glasses in honor of our anniversary. Cheers to a wonderful day and awesome six years!
Everyday turns into a special memory. We have already forgotten some of those special moments. We don't want to forget another minute of our simple happy life.

John's Birthday Party
Brielle loves her buddy John! We celebrated his 3rd birthday yesterday. Brielle had a great time playing in the cool slide and tunnel thing, popping bubbles, making a picture frame, and eating cupcakes. In fact, tonight she was cracking up as she told Grant that John and her had blue lips and tongues because of the icing. You would have thought there was a joke involved, but no just blue lips and tongues. She is a wild one! :) Happy birthday John! I didn't get many good pictures at all.
Jenna and Brielle waiting to see what John opens!
What is inside?
Sunny Pointe Play Date
We had a fantastic time at Summit Waves with all of the Sunny Pointe kids and babies! I didn't get any pictures at Summit Waves, but hopefully you can imagine. Thanks for playing Whitney, Alivia, Rochelle, Will, Allison, Ava, Luke, Aubrey, Hudson, Henry, Krista, baby Mazy, Mason, Deana, Jenna, Jodi, and John! Brielle's highlight was "surfing" with John. Hopefully we'll play soon!
Thanks for the Jimmy John's pic Whitney! :)
Just Like Mommy
Brielle decided she needed to look just like Mommy after her shower. I don't know if this is the best look to copy. You should have heard the giggles and contagious excitement that erupted after I wrapped the towel on her head. Don't be too jealous of my awesome look. I know it's one of Grant's favorites! :) Now Brielle's!
Breakfast with Daddy
Brielle loves making breakfast with Grant. In fact, I get up waaaaaaay before the two of them and offer to make her breakfast. No. Daddy must be awake and make breakfast. As you may or may not know, Grant prefers to sleep. However, it's hard to resist the Little Miss begging you to wake-up!
Grant and Brielle made cinnamon and sugar biscuits. Delicious!
Oh...don't get any ideas by reading her pajama shirt. I promise I bought these because they were on sale. I'm cheap resourceful like that! Seriously who wants to pay for cute pajamas that no one sees!
Conversations of the Week
Oh Brielle you make us smile!
- We were on our way to preschool. I brought a stack of papers. Brielle asked to hold the papers and of course needed to know their purpose. I need to give them to my boss. What's a boss? Well that's someone who tells you what to do. A few seconds later....You know Ms. Jewell is my boss. Insert smile and laughter. Yes. You are right. Ms. Jewell is your boss!
- Do you want to keep doing dance? Well, yes but not so much. Oh really (keep in mind we only go once a week). How much would you like to do dance? Like just once a day. Ahhh....I see. I think I want to do soccer like all the minutes of the day.

Crown Center Night Out
We journeyed to Crown Center for a fun family night out.
Coloring at the Crayola store
Coloring at the Crayola store
Magnetic tic-tac-toe! So fun!
I tried for a good picture.
Waiting for dinner at Crayola Cafe.
Brielle loved her new yellow crayon cup!
First EVER dirt and worms! She wasn't too sure at first, but then loved it!
Rain forest exhibit
Grant and Brielle had to investigate all of the clues and keep track of their notes on their clipboards. It was too cute!
Brielle the scientist!
Max and Molly
Max and Molly came to visit today! Oh and their mom Emily came too - one of my best friends from college! :) We had a great time playing in the pool, jumping in, and swimming in the spooky waters. Max and Brielle were playing a game where they swam from spooky water creatures, and they would look for clues on the side of the pool. Max was also Brielle's hero. A big boy was playing with her kick board and she didn't like it. Keep in mind she was not playing with it, but logic doesn't matter. She asked me to help her get it back. I said no, and you can do it. Then she decided to ask Max. Well he said yes and was ready to save the day. He was wearing Superman swim trunks, so I wouldn't expect any less. About halfway to the big boys, Max and Brielle had a conversation. I don't know what was said, but Brielle didn't go any further. Max walked right up to those big boys and said, "Can I please have that back?" They politely gave the board back. Brielle was smiling at her hero from ear to ear. We ended the play date with a trip to Mr. Goodcents (Brielle's favorite restaurant). What a great summer day!
To Nap or Not to Nap
Pork loin buy one get one free $7.99.
Twice-baked potatoes $3.00.
Zucchini and squash $0.79 per pound.
Eating dinner without taking a nap - priceless.
We love you Brielle! Sorry you were so tired!
Paxton and Jensen
We have been so lucky to see two of our favorite little men this summer! Paxton and Jensen were born at the perfect time! Brielle is still warming up to the little guys, but loves visiting. In fact, we almost didn't make it one day because Brielle fell going into the store prior to visiting Jensen. It was a tragedy, and the only remedy was her Tinkerbell band aids at home. Luckily, Kristin had Star Wars band aids that were sufficient. She later told me that she would wear those (Star Wars) at Kristin's house, but once we get home she must change to her band aids (Tinkerbell). Can we say girly? We can't wait to watch these two little cuties grow!
Brielle captured Ashley and Paxton
Eye Doctor
Great job at the eye doctor Miss!
You are a little far-sighted and have a slight stigmatism. However, that is very normal for a 3 year-old according to the doctor. We will go back before kindergarten.
Brielle was very curious about EVERYTHING! Thank goodness the doctor explained every last tool.
Crump and Coffee
We went to see our friend Jason Crump play his guitar at a coffee shop. At first, Brielle was a little shy (imagine that) but by the end she didn't want to leave. The coffee shop was super cute and kid-friendly. We played Uno and Sorry while listening to some good music. We can't wait to hear you play again Crump!
Listening intently...no time for a picture.
Special Visit
We had special visitors on Tuesday...Grandma Carolyn and Great Grandma Klug! What a great little day! I didn't capture any photos, but we had a great time. Brielle started by dressing all the ladies in winter attire. It was just too cold in our house. Then Grandma Carolyn got to go to Brielle's dance class. I cooked dinner in my new bean pot. It was a success! We played Uno and took our guests on a tour of the neighborhood since it was too warm to walk. Thanks for driving Great Grandma to see us Grandma Carolyn! We had a great time!

Conversation of the Day
Brielle got out a box of her flash card games. She chose the box that teaches sign language.
How do you do this game?
Well, you can learn sign language with these cards. Did you know some people can't hear out of their ears so we learn sign language?
Yes. I know. Grandma can't hear.
Well....that's sort of true. :)

Have you been a Firework?
Brielle told Grant she learned a firework song from her friend Haley at school. Grant thought it was great, but (shockingly) he doesn't listen to Katy Perry. As soon as she started singing her version of Firework to me, I was grinning from ear to ear. We had to have her perform it for the camera. I love how her introduction has to be perfect!
I LOVE Brielle's version of Katy Perry's Firework! Here's the real song if you want to listen. You have to wait for the chorus to hear any resemblance!
Here is Brielle's dancing debut. I wish we would have had music, but you get the idea. Again, introductions are a must, and you can tell she loves her dance class.

Library Card
We met some friends for story hour today. I wasn't expecting to check out books since we have a million at home, and I'm not very good at returning things in a timely manner. However, I couldn't resist her asking - Can I check out books? We should have a library card, so today Brielle got her very first library card. We got to check out two books and have already read them three times each. Yeah for new books!
Summit Waves
Grant took vacation last week, so we tried to do some fun things. One really great trip was to Summit Waves. Brielle wasn't afraid of the water or slides at all. She loved it! Actually, we all did!
We ran into Alivia, Whitney, and Ben at Summit Waves. Brielle had a great time helping Alivia go up the steps to the slide.
Going down the big slide! By the end she said she didn't need help and wanted to do it by herself! And...she did!
Tinkerbell Tutu Camp
Brielle went to Tinkerbell Tutu Camp last week. She loved it! I wasn't expecting Tinkerbell to be at camp, but she was there. Brielle really loved seeing her friend Maely. Lindsey (Maely's mom) made the girls Tinkerbell bows to complete the experience. Thanks Lindsey! Brielle was a little concerned the first day, because they didn't tap. We now know that Tinkerbell only does ballet. :)
Look at those adorable bows!
She earned her wings!
Brielle and Tinkerbell - Mom. Is that Tinkerbell real?
What do you think Miss?
Conversations of the Week
Brielle never ceases to amaze me with her comments and conversations.
- She told me "it's complicated" in regards to a game she was playing.
- Grant and Brielle were playing a new game she made-up - Baby Momma. I didn't play, but the name of the game was enough to make me giggle.
- Brielle let my Aunt Dianne read The Secret Garden to her. I would call it an early chapter book. She listened to her the whole time and asked about the characters.
- Brielle is fascinated with new vocabulary she hears in books or in conversation. What is glare? rival? What does carried away mean?
We can't wait to hear what you say or ask tomorrow Brielle!

Dance! Dance! Dance!
Brielle started dance class on Tuesday. She was ecstatic the entire day. In fact, she smiled in all pictures without any begging or pleading! Her buddy Maely went to dance too. The girls loved it! Ms. Lauren taught them ballet and tap. The parents even got to watch their first tap dance at the end of class. We are off to Tinkerbell Tutu Camp tonight!

Brielle Photography
We had about 40 shots that looked very similar to the pictures above. Classic Brielle photography!
