Daddy's Band

Brielle loves listening to Grant's band...on CD in the car.  However, she has never heard them live.  Brielle's chance finally came when Grant's band played for the Farmer's Insurance 10K run.

It was an early morning, so Brielle and I ate breakfast at Starbucks on the plaza.  We were right behind the band so it was a double bonus!  She would even recognize songs and let me know who was playing what instrument and who was singing.  Too cute!

At first, Brielle stayed quite far away.
She wasn't so sure about seeing the band live.

Then she warmed up and enjoyed the last couple of songs.

Great job Daddy!

Circus Time

The circus came to town!!!!

We started the day with a special circus breakfast.  Yum!

We met our friends Deana, Kelly, and Jenna at the Sprint Center.  Thanks to Grant, we had great seats this year.  Jenna and Brielle got light-up wands before walking in because they were WAY cheaper outside.  Thanks for the idea Deana!

Tightrope was probably our favorite act.  So scary!

Brielle loved it all including the elephants, but her favorite were the horses.

Afterwards, we went to eat with the Flaxes and then visited the petting zoo at Power and Light.  It was a great day!

Dance Class

Brielle is really going to dance class this year - not just camps anymore!  She is in the dance sampler 1 class at Heart of America Dance Center and loves it!  Ms. Melissa is her teacher.  The class starts with ballet and ends with tap.  After the first night, Ms. Melissa said Brielle might move to dance sampler 2 after Christmas.  She appears to be a good listener, and she is catching on quick.  Way to go Ladybug!

Mizzou Football Season

Football season is here!  Each year gets more fun with Brielle.  She likes dressing up to cheer for the Tigers.  She likes tailgating and even requests to go to the game.  Grant and I are wondering when it will be time to get her a real season ticket...probably a few more years.  Brielle still enjoys playing with Grandma Fishburn at Grandma Carolyn's house.

First game of the season was a bit rainy!  We made it to second quarter and then headed to St. Louis for our Labor Day tradition of hanging out with family, playing in the pool, and cheering on the Tigers.

Aunt Samantha and Uncle Jake got Brielle a few presents.  Brielle loved them both!  She requested that Uncle Jake, Aunt Samantha, and her put the princess puzzle together.  It was quite a sight!  Then she decorated her new Hello Kitty piggy bank with Aunt Samantha in between the rain.

Final product included a J for Jake, an S for Samantha, and a B for Brielle.  Pretty cute!

Playing dollhouse with Papa.  He needed a bit of help.  I think he was quite impressed with the elevator located on the side of the house.  "Don't you see it Papa?"

Playing BOLO with Grandma at the Georgia game tailgate.

Go Tigers!

Big Sister Class

I think Brielle was born to be a big sister, but now we can say she has officially passed her 'big sister class'.  We took her to St. Lukes to learn about the duties of being a big sister and how to care for a little brother.  She LOVED it!  Grant and I had were thoroughly entertained by the comments from all of the kids in the class ages 3 - 9.  It was quite hysterical.  She learned about holding the baby, playing with the baby, feeding, how to help, etc.  We took a tour of the hospital so she would know what a hospital room looked like and when she would be able to come into the room.  Brielle even got to go inside a tent which was made to simulate the uterus.  It was quite a fun night!  We are ready for this little brother to get here!

 Ready for little brother!
Brielle kisses him and hugs him.  She talks to him and believes he kicks her hand every time even though it's just me breathing.  Hopefully the little (or big) man will arrive happy and healthy and soon!

Nails!!!!

Grant went out of town, so Brielle and I had all sorts of girly fun...shopping, Barbie movie, birthday parties, jewelery parties, and of course nails!

Waiting to dry...
We wore matching bracelets that day too!

So fun!!!!

Birthday Party Fun

Brielle had fun at her friends' birthday parties recently!

Happy birthday Coy Boy!  We love getting to see you even though it's not everyday!  Enjoy all of your Legos!

Happy Birthday Keegan!  Brielle had a blast at Gage!  She was worn out after all that running, jumping, sliding, climbing...

Of course, birthday party shopping is a bit challenging these days.  Brielle likes to look at everything and point out gifts she might want - which means everything in the store.  :)  I was excited to leave Toys R Us after buying her friends' gifts.  However, Brielle had to pose with the characters even though I didn't have any money.  We've come very far from staring at the camera to now actually requesting her picture be taken.  You do like to shop Ladybug which I LOVE!!!!
