Celebrating the Little Man

Our little man should arrive in about 3 weeks.  We are EXCITED and trying to be PATIENT!  I'm not so good with the patience thing.

I am blessed to have some of the best friends a girl could ask for, and I'm even more blessed that they are equally excited for the little man to arrive.  I didn't think we would have a shower for the second child because we have the big baby stuff.  However, Whitney, Aubrey, Ashley, and Kristin threw the best baby shower I could ever ask for.  I'm so thankful and happy that he has boy clothes, boy toys, and diapers!  Grant was ok with letting him wear a few flowered pajamas now and then, but thanks to our wonderful friends the little man will have legitimate boy attire!  What a special afternoon!

Thank you girls for throwing the best shower ever!  I treasure our friendship that started so many years ago!  You are the best!  I will be coming to you all for boy advice as well.  Love ya!!!!!  :)

LWL friends!!!  Muah!!!!

College roomies and best friends!!!!!!

Sunny Pointe Reunion!!!!!!!!!!!  Love you all!

Thanks for helping us celebrate our little man!!!!!!!!!
Treasure you all!!!!!!

Is There Anything Better?

Is there anything better than playing outside in a princess dress?
Is there anything better than using your imagination to play by yourself in the backyard for hours?
Is there anything better than 'home days'?
Is there anything better than playing in the sprinkler on a warm October day?

I can't thinking of anything better than being this sweet girl's mom.

Princess Tea Party

Brielle's dance studio puts on Cinderella at the Folley Theater.  To help pay for the ballet, the studio hosts a Princess Tea Party.  It was a magical experience for all the little girls.

The tea party started with the king inviting us in, then we were invited to get delicious treats, we enjoyed a performance by the Cinderella ballet performers, the girls got autographs from the performers, pictures with the performers, and the girls ended the party with dancing.

It was a fun and fancy afternoon!

What was your favorite part of the ballet performance Brielle?
"The arabesques!"

Look at those cute princesses!
Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Brave, Tinkerbell...quite the variety!

First Bus Ride (oh...and a field trip)

Brielle is now allowed to ride the bus on her school field trips.  And boy has she been excited!!!!!  In fact, this was the one thing that she has been pumped about since school started back in August.

Her chance came last week on the first field trip of the school year.  Brielle's class went to Sibley Orchard.  Grant went on the field trip too.  He sat with her on the way to Sibley Orchard, but she got to sit with a friend on the way back.  Pretty grown-up!

First bus ride like the big kids!  Look at that face!  Priceless!

Brielle and Grant got to go on a hay ride, pick pumpkins, and help make apple cider.

Love this picture!  Favorite picture of fall so far!

Pumpkin Patch Fun

It's that time of year...pumpkin patch time!  We enjoyed Carolyn's pumpkin patch again this year.  Grant got the family season pass, so Brielle got to go with Grandma and Papa too.  We don't have any pictures, but I know they all had a blast!

Look at what a difference a few years makes.
2009 - Very first pumpkin patch (one year old)!
2012 - 4 years old and doing everything by herself!

Brielle loves posing now!

Favorite part of the trip...feeding the animals!!

Duck races with Daddy

Playing in the sand is so much fun!

On the hunt for the perfect pumpkin in this pictures.
When Grandma and Papa took Brielle, she told them they each got to get a pumpkin on the hay ride.  Well, my dad thought that meant they were free.  Imagine his surprise after hauling 3 huge pumpkins around only to find out they are not free at all!  A few perfect pumpkins were left at Carolyn's that day.  :)

We found the one!

Grant is easy to spot in the hay maze.

Brielle was a champ at leading me through the corn maze.

We love this beautiful fall weather!
