Tummy Time

We are working on tummy time!  Sometimes Carson likes it, but sometimes he doesn't.  Minutes before these photos he was rocking his tummy time.  Of course, as soon as I decided to take some pictures he got upset.

Oh...sweet boy!

This is rough.  I give up.

Maybe sister can make it better.

Yep!  I love my sister.  She's the best!

You're the best big sister in the world Brielle!

Outside in January

We enjoyed a beautiful day outside in...JANUARY!
We can't wait for spring!

Special Visitors

Great Grandma Klug and Grandma Carolyn made a special visit.  We enjoyed dinner and opened more Christmas presents.  Thank you for making dinner and bringing Great Grandma to visit Grandma Carolyn.  It was a special treat!  Brielle was impressed that we had yet another Christmas.

2 Months

Our big boy is 2 months old!  Woo hoo!

During the last month Carson:
-Of course he grew!  At his 2 month appointment he was 15.8 pounds.  He was in the 99th percentile for both weight and height.  We wouldn't expect any less.
-He is a talker!  He coos and makes all kinds of noises while holding a conversation with you.  Sometimes he will coo really loud to get your attention from across the room.
-He tracks everything!  He'll track toys, people, and find you from across the room.  He's fascinated with his toy that is hooked to his car seat.  He has a favorite toy - a little stuffed giraffe.
-He has gone to Brielle's school a few times to pick her up.  Brielle LOVES it!  I don't think he cares either way.  :)
-He is somewhat enjoying tummy time.
-He can lay on his back without getting hiccups.  That's a huge accomplishment.
-He is holding his head up and a lot more steady.

Love you sweet boy!

Trying on the adorable hat from Aunt Jill.

And we're done!

Cuteness

So, I'm biased but how cute is this little man?

Big stretch...

Look at those cheeks and that mohawk!  haha!

Gingerbread House Tradition

Grandma has given Brielle a gingerbread house kit the last two years for Christmas.  I think Brielle likes this tradition.  :)

Conversation of the Day

Brielle has been my little sidekick in the kitchen lately.  She loves to help make the dinner and set the table.  She's actually a big help.  I love it!

Then this conversation took place:

Grant - Wow!  This is delicious!  Doesn't Mommy have the best ideas (dinner ideas)?
Brielle - Well actually it's from Pinterest.

I thought I would at least get a few more years of Brielle thinking I'm the most awesome mom ever.  Guess not.  Thanks a lot Pinterest.

Really though...thanks A LOT Pinterest.  Brielle's right.  I wouldn't be half the mom I am today without you.  :)

Christmas 2012

Christmas Eve was a fun day with our new little family.  We went to church and then opened a few gifts.  Brielle had a hard time waiting to open any packages this year.  It was just torture.  I opened all of my gifts that Brielle picked out for me before Christmas morning because she was impatient and couldn't wait.  It was too cute!

She loved her Leap Pad from Uncle Scott and Aunt Jill!

Look at my two cutie pies!

Can you tell someone is excited for scissors?  Bahahahaha!

Face paint...Heck Yes!
It's the simple things people...

Santa stopped by our house for a very good little girl and little boy.
I don't have pictures, but it was a magical Christmas morning as a family of four!

 Merry Christmas!  Love to all!
We are thankful for this wonderful year!
*Drat!  Grant and I looked over this card 800 times!  We both missed the typo with the date.  So embarrassing!
