Symphony Field Trip

Brielle's class went to the symphony.  I got to go too!  I have never been to the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts so it was a real treat for us both.  Brielle's class had been studying instruments, symphony etiquette, and Peter and the Wolf in preparation for the trip. 

 

Bus ride was a hit.  Clearly these pictures tell the story of the excitement on the bus.

Beautiful!  I was NERVOUS when they seated us so high.  We could see well, but it was so scary letting Brielle close to the rail.  I kept imagining kids falling off the balconies.  I know...I know... 

 Fun time!  Bus ride home with Henry was awesome!  They played I Spy and chatted the whole way home.  We will miss Henry and Brielle's school next year.  What a great place to be learning!

3 Months

Carson is 3 months old! 

We love every day this little man gets bigger and bigger!

 

During the last month Carson:

-Grew!  Last doctor visit recorded him 17 1/2 pounds.

-Has several nicknames...Buster, Brother, Little Man, Duder and many more...In fact, Brielle asked, "Aren't you sad you didn't name him Buster?"  Well, Buster is an awesome name, but I'm afraid he wouldn't think so after the age of 5.  "Nope!  He's the perfect little Carson."

-Really found his hands.  They are constantly fused together in one giant fist in front of his face. 

-Drooling like a champ!  I think we need to get out the bibs.

-Enjoying the exersaucer!  He doesn't stay in it too long, but he is content for a while.

-Has a slightly odd shaped head.  His physical therapy appointment went well at Children's Mercy.  They think he is a great candidate to pop out his head on the right side with a little more tummy time.  You can do it buddy!

-SMILES!!!!  LAUGHS!!!!  Lights up when you talk to him!  Some of his favorites are being lifted up and brought down for kisses and 'how big is the baby' game.

Super Bowl Party

We had a few friends over for the Super Bowl.  Brielle loved having all of Alli and Breck's attention.  She even convinced them to sit in her secret hide-out and read books.  Lucky girl!

Uncle Scott and Aunt Jill

Aunt Jill and Uncle Scott came to visit.  Woo hoo!  They made a special trip all the way from New York to see their new nephew and favorite niece.  Brielle and Carson are lucky!

 

We ate yummy take-out at home, made a good attempt at eating at Mr. Goodcents, introduced them to Princess Sophia, played Hi-Ho Cheerio, and much much more.  Brielle got some extra special treatment when they took her to Paradise Park.  Thanks for visiting Aunt Jill and Uncle Scott!  We wish you lived closer (insert guilt trip here).  :)

Check out Brielle's awesome face paint and sweet bear she won out of the arcade claw machine.  She must be lucky, because she won on her first try.  And we totally needed another stuffed animal.  I mean the 75 she already has just isn't enough.  :)
